ABOUT
Te Rongo is an artist who works across various disciplines with an interest in combining art glass with steel, fibre, wood, film & installation.
She is of Māori (Wai o hua, Ngai Tai, Kawerau a Maki), English, and Scottish heritage - a blend that has shaped both her work and identity. Te Rongo’s work comes from a universal perspective drawing on archetypal and esoteric symbolism making artworks grounded in a Māori world view.
Te Rongo's studio is based in Auckland, New Zealand and her work has been exhibited internationally in various museums and collections in cities such as Vancouver, San Francisco, Portland, Canberra, London, Scotland, Singapore, Hawaii.
